Stan Rushworth
Stan Rushworth is a teacher of Native American Literature, and the author of Sam Woods: American Healing (Station Hill Press, New York 1992), Going to Water: The Journal of Beginning Rain (Talking Leaves Press, Freedom, CA 2014), and Diaspora’s Children (Hand To Hand Publishing, Topanga, CA 2020). His current publication is a collection of interviews done in collaboration with the journalist Dahr Jamail, We Are The Middle of Forever: Indigenous Voices From Turtle Island On The Changing Earth (The New Press, New York 2022). As a tenured faculty emeritus, he taught Native American Literature at Cabrillo College for three decades, and currently works as an activist and advocate for Indigenous people as a teacher, writer and speaker. He is married, with two sons and one grandson.
