Ten Years ago, Hanford McCloud, skipper/leader of the Nisqually Canoe Family invited LRR to get involved. The 2016 Paddle to Nisqually was where many volunteers through our informal group worked to prepare for and through five days of “Protocol” on kitchen cleanup, or on the Green Team, some cooking.

Other gatherings feature native led presentations , auxiliary meetings and visits to Tribal sites aimed at addressing the historic marginalization and ongoing inequities faced by our Coast Salish neighbors. Learning Right Relations has become an action group that meets monthly and is involved year-round in activities that support the following vision and statement of purpose.
