We are reaching out to ask you for support with COVID-19 Tribal Prevention & Solidarity. See the message below from Earth-Feather Sovereign, who many of us have had the honor of hearing speak at our February LRR Gathering.

Earth-Feather Sovereign (her/she pronouns) is a member of a Tribe located in the State of Washington (Northern and southern Okanogan “n. sjilx”, San-Poil band “n.selixtcl’n”, and Nespelem "snpʕwílx" bands). Sovereign's Father is Ernest Clark, his parents are Chester Clark and Cecilia Covington-Clark. Sovereign's Mother is Deanna Marcellay, her parents are Gabe Morris Marcellay and Hazel Williams. Sovereign is a descendant of Chiefs and Matriarchs, including Que-Petsa of the snpʕwílx People.

Message from Earth-Feather: Right now my people, as most Washington State Tribes are being severely impacted by COVID-19 with little to no resources. This is where community response comes in to place. Your solidarity is needed to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

We still have a little ways to go, and need your help to get there.

Hello friends and family,

Please join me and Learning Right Relations in solidarity with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Washington by supporting the MMIWW Blanket Project. Nationally, the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men, Women, Children and Two-Spirits is wide-spread. Homicide is the third leading cause of death for Native Americans 10-24 years old.

MMIWW advocates and provides support service for survivors and families of Indigenous people who have gone missing and/or been murdered. Follow them on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/MMIWWashington/.

"Traditionally, Native American gift giving in a sacred manner has always been part of our culture. Giving and receiving a blanket is one of the highest forms of respect in honoring someone. MMIWW would like to give away blankets with our logo on to survivors, families, and community members. Helping to bless others by giving and honoring, will be a blessing for you, your families, and your organizations."
Earth - Feather Sovereign Director/Founder, MMIWW

Please join us by donating an amount that is meaningful to you at https://www.gofundme.com/f/mmiwwblanket, share on your social media networks and feel free to pass this email on to others.

Thank you!
Sincerely,
your name
